Ediz Hun took part in the competition organized by the Magazine Ses in 1963 while he was 22 years old. When he won the contest, the gates of Yeşilçam (Turkish Hollywood) were wide open to him.

Hun was enthroned in hearts as the "romantic young actor" of Yeşilçam. He met his audience in totally 140 movies. When Yeşilçam went into a crisis after 1975, Hun embarked on a different dream of his own and went to Norway to study biology and environment with his wife and their one-year-old daughter.

His environmental studies date back to his childhood. He says some are born as cooks, some are born as musicians and he was born environmentalist . When he was five years old he was looking for fish in sloughs. In Bosphorus he was collecting insects. When he was 18 years old, his was bringing tropical fish from Budapest for his aquarium.
Remarking that he was never afraid to take decisions all throughout his life even though they were radical, Hun says: "I see myself as a person with a very high level of self-control. I never regretted the decisions I took. I was able to be happy in the conditions in which I was living".

Leading an active, colorful and dynamic life, Hun entered into politics in 1999 and was elected an MP. He always had environment as an agenda item.

He still continues many activities to raise people's awareness of this issue. He teaches courses on environment and ecology in Bahçeşehir and Okan Universities, he continually carries on with his research on the environment and renders speeches in conferences.

We visited Hun in his house and hed a cheerful conversation from politics to art, environment to nutrition.
