Tunç Fındık is a professional mountaineer that has realized nearly 500 climbs. He is as excited as he was on the first day whenever he climbs. His eyes shine, his voice becomes jovial and he becomes more active as he talks about the mountains. In short, he becomes totally effusive. He climbs mountains instead of buying a house or a car.
He says that the mountains liberate a man and he feels much better on the mountains. "Mountains are my habitat" he says and he shapes all his dreams and plans according to summits. We met with Fındık upon his return from Nepal. We talked about the excitement and happiness he feels on the mountains and what freedom and power mean to him.
