Meral Egemen is a colorful, active and success-oriented manager. She started to work by giving tuitions while she was only at secondary school.

During her university years, she did not remain idle and worked as a translator and page secretary for Milliyet daily, then as a tour operator and guide for a tourism company.

Having stepped into the business life in the banking sector, Mrs. Egemen pursued her successful career as the General Manager of Aksigorta from 2002 till 2007. She became the General Manager of AvivaSA Hayat ve Emeklilik A.Þ. that emerged after the merger of Ak Emeklilik 99.4 percent of which was owned by Aksigorta and Aviva Hayat Emeklilik, the subsidiary in Turkey of Aviva Plc, the British insurance giant, in the year 2007. Mrs. Egemen demonstrates also in her private life the activity and success she has in business life. Saying that she has the feature of failing to stay idle, Mrs. Egemen has many hobbies like skiing, diving, amateur plane-piloting, surfing, classical car rally, riding a motorcycle, yoga and tai-chi. She spends time for these hobbies at every opportunity, partakes in contests whenever she can.

She has won cups securing the 3rd position in 1999 Greece Classical Acropolis Rally and 1st position in the 'Females Category' in the Western Anatolia Classical Car Rally.

Having taken photos and videos in more than 50 countries, more than 200 cities and turned them into documentaries, Mrs. Egemen writes travel articles, she is also drafting a book nowadays.
