Gürbüz Dogan Eksioglu draws by utilizing technics such as, caricatures, pictures and graphics. According to him what he does still does not have a name. "Since I use paint and picturing supplies actually my work is pictures. But in pictures, there is no verbalism. But my works consist of verbalism and that concept is covered by graphics. But I do not express a feeling or a given subject in graphics language. I express subjects related to my own feelings. Therefore it is not solely graphics. What I do still does not have a name. When I send my works to a caricature competition, they are considered caricatures. Named as illustrations since they are expressing and explaining a subject. When I paint them and have them framed, then they are paintings. It is related to all those threee fields."
Eksioglu states, he draws the things he feels, also other people feel but not aware. His primary target is to tell something to the world with the use of graphics, not to transfer any object on paper. In the object or concept he draws he shares a joke or a different aspect with the people. With the drawings he shares, he wants to surprise people like a magician and make them smile. When we ask him about his working style, Eksioglu replies: "You need to say something like an intellectual. This is a drawing but there is a game in it, there is thinking in it. All of a sudden I think of something and I draw. But you need to work hard for that. The saying goes 'You do not become an artist, you are born an artist', it is very true. You need to have this soul in your genes. You do not only have love for the opposite sex, you also have the love for your profession. I am in love with my profession. The impulse for me is finding something different, sharing it and being admired by people. However, for years I did not do it, to share and to be admired. I never had the urge to make money out of it. For me, the urge was to speak what I thought.
