While giving a brief on the improvements in technology and R&D work, Vestel Communication Research and Development Assistant General Manager Murat Sarpel says: "We continue our work to make the digital home concept in a way that all devices see and communicate with one another. Mobility is another important concept. That means a device which is a pocket size portable device with a decent size screen. You can transfer and carry all kinds of image and audio into the memory of it. The iPod like devices are already widespread. Image, video will be added to these devices. We maintain our work in flat screen televisions. The biggest trend is the growth in size. We have 125 cm diagonal screen plasma televisions in the market. Soon there will be 150 cm versions in the market and the size will continue to increase. The size of the PFD and LCD televisions will also increase. Parts which will facilitate wireless communication will be added to these technologies and will enable them to be a part of the digital home concept. Also we try to produce them environmentally friendly by lowering their energy consumption."
