Televisions will be wireless and will communicate with the other devices in the house. You will watch TV broadcasts from cellular phones. Your fridge will send an alert whenever you are about to go out of food. Your garage door will automatically open when it senses you are about to arrive. And the house will adjust the temperature to your presence.

These instances do not belong to a far future. Some will appear in a few months, some are a few years away. It is certain that wireless technology will dominate our lives and in relation with this, our lives will be mobile. Today this concept seems like a dream. In short the "where ever you are, whenever you want, whatever you want" approach to content is coming alive.

Talking about the wireless future, Orhan Coskun, Vestel Communications R&D chief of Wireless Technology, states how ubiquitous the technology is: "The first thing that comes to everyone's mind when talking about wireless technology is the cellular phone, but in fact the widespread use of wireless technology is the remote control." Then he makes his point: "It is Vestel's expertise to invent and implement new technology to devices. We track every small step of progress in our industry. We know what technology is going to hit the market five years later. At the moment there is a system capable of high data throughout in short distances. We have already planned what to produce and how to position our products four years later."
